About David Manning
Dr Manning undertook internship and residency in the Hunter New England Area Health Service before commencing specialist eye training. Dr Manning’s Eye Training commenced in Orange at the Orange Eye Centre, then continued formally at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne. Fellowship training followed, both at The Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne and Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, Manchester England. He was awarded fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmology in 2006 and has worked as consultant Eye Surgeon since, initially working in Manchester, then Melbourne, before finally returning home to Newcastle in 2007, when he took over the reins of Hunter Cataract & Eye Centre. David is an active memeber of RANZCO, ANZGS (Australian & New Zealand Glaucoma Society), and AUSCRS (Australian Cataract Surgeon Society).
