Visual hallucinations present diagnostic and management challenges.  Patients may not always volunteer these symptoms due to fears of ridicule by family, friends and the medical profession.  The practitioner needs to show empathy and be pro-active in utilising the necessary diagnostic resources to elucidate potentially treatable causes.  This lecture addresses the case of an older gentleman and the subsequent differential diagnoses, investigations and management.
