Lacrimal Plugs - Photo Essay 5

Lacrimal plugs are useful in the management of dry eye syndrome.  All designs however are flawed.  This video discusses the risks of biofilm accumulation on and within the plug, resulting in irritation, inflammation and infection.  These plugs need to be replaced to avoid serious complications.

He is Honorary Professor of Glaucoma at the Centre for Health and Social Care Improvement at the University of Wolverhampton.
