Cataract surgery is the most commonly performed eye surgery.  The success of the procedure not only depends on the surgery, but also the post-operative care in order to prevent potential complications such as bleeding, infection and retinal detachment.  This 2 part series features 2 experienced consultant ophthalmologists discussing their approach to post-operative care.  Cataract surgery is a team effort between the patient, surgeon, operative staff, clinical staff, relatives and/or friends to achieve an optimal outcome.
